Eligibility Criteria for KSOU Ph.D. Admission

• Applicants must hold a Master's degree or a professional degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade 'B' on the UGC 7-point scale.
• Also, candidates who have finalized their M.Phil. dissertation and are awaiting viva voce are eligible to apply for Ph.D. at the same university.
• Applicants with an existing M.Phil degree from a foreign or Indian institution accredited by an approved Accreditation Agency are eligible.
• For differently abled persons, SC/ST/Category-1 candidates, and candidates who were already selected as teachers, librarians, or physical instructors before March 31, 1992, the marks of 50% are sufficient, provided they are in service at the time of application.
• If Master's degree marks are provided in grades or credit, they will be converted to a percentage to verify eligibility.

Other mark relaxations or conditions will be granted as per the Commission's or UGC latest decisions.

There is no EMI option available at KSOU but the fee of every program is affordable and pocket-friendly. Instead of EMI options, KSOU offers various scholarships and financial aid to students from minorities, tribal welfare departments, and so on.
