KSOU PhD in Psychology Syllabus / Curriculum
The university follows the ‘Credit system’ for all its programs offered at the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). The programs offered at the university have a mandatory coursework that comprises three papers of 100 marks each and 50 marks for one paper. Each credit is of 15 hours of teaching, comprising all learning activities such as studying the self learning material, participating in the counseling/contact classes, preparing assignments, visiting the library/industry/institution, interacting through audio-visual related issues, and preparing for exams.
The individual's coursework is evaluated through Internal assessment and external examination. The internal assessment comprises Research methodology, Cognate Subject, and specialization papers.
For coursework examination, the individuals are required to apply for the examination after receiving the notification from the university and pay the prescribed fee. The external examination comprises viva voce and theory.
To be qualified for the PhD registration, the individuals must obtain an aggregate of 55% or above.
